Canowindra High School Student Representative Council members have been busily preparing for the school fete to be held later this month on Friday May 30 during Education Week.
The fete will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the school’s original buildings officially opened on May 3, 1968 by the Honourable Charles Cutler who was then Deputy Premier of NSW and the Minister for Education and Science as well as the local Member for Orange.
The student organised fete will assist the school to purchase much needed resources in their classrooms.
Student Representative Council Coordinator Mrs Townsend has been working with the reps to organise a variety of stalls for the fete.
Planned stalls will include handmade jewellery, lavender and Alpaca wool products, Tupperware, a variety of food stalls, hot dog eating contests, face painting, colouring-in and photography competition, jumping castle, trash and treasure, cow pat lotto and many more.
The students have planned something for young and old.
In addition to stalls the students are organising some exciting entertainment on stage with choir, rock band and drama groups performing during the afternoon.
The fete will run from 1pm to 6pm at the Canowindra High School, near the Jack Sherwin Memorial Hall.
The SRC would appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you there for a great afternoon of family entertainment.
