The Bendy St Business Group has been formed by a like minded group of business people who share common or complimentary goals.
Group spokesperson Troy Kelly, who owns Essentially Child’s Play in Gaskill St said the group’s mission statement is to promote and encourage business in Canowindra and surrounds.
The group aims to do this by providing a forum for business group or individuals, encouraging and assisting new business and community training.
“We aim to meet regularly and adhere to a strict meeting protocol,” Mr Kelly said.
“We hope provide a conduit to local government and facilitate group promotion, while supporting individual promotions and activities that fit the group’s ethic.”
The Bendy Street Business Group also aims to: -
* Facilitate collective buying and supporting local purchasing
* Facilitate group and community events (Nb. We are not an event management group, we are a support mechanism to such groups)
* Organise an annual business dinner to review the groups activities and future objectives
* Review objectives with both short and long term goals in mind on a regular basis.
“If you are a business person in Canowindra or surrounds and this is a group you would like to be a part of, please accept our invitation to the next meeting to be held at the Canowindra Services Club on Wednesday the 14th of May 2008 at 6.30pm, and let’s work together for the benefit of Canowindra,” Mr Kelly said.
